Reading the grand staff (two hands)

The grand staff combines treble and bass clefs so both hands can be read at once. The treble clef carries the right hand, the bass clef the left hand. Middle C bridges the two staves.

Middle C (C4) sits one ledger line below the treble staff AND one ledger line above the bass staff, the single note that visually links both clefs.
